| The office of Melvin L. Watt, is currently accepting applications for the 2010 12th Congressional District Summer Internship Program.
The Summer Internship Program is open to students who reside or are enrolled in a degree program at a post-secondary academic institution in the 12th Congressional District of North Carolina. Students who are interested in learning more about public service, the federal government and the operations of a congressional office are encouraged to apply; however, students pursing degrees in the social sciences may find the program most applicable to their academic studies.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume and writing sample to the Charlotte District Office checked below and to the attention of Tawana Wilson-Allen no later than the March 26, 2010 deadline.
The letter of interest should also indicate whether the student is interested in serving in the Charlotte or Greensboro office.
